I bought this for my daughter's nap time at preschool. They have cots, but we were told to supply a blanket and pillow so I figured, why not get a sleep mat and have both along with some extra cushion? It's thick enough that it would still be very comfortable if it were used on a carpeted floor, and relatively comfortable if it were on a tile floor. The materials are soft to the touch and the pillow has held up well with daily use. My daughter is tall for her age and she fits the length with extra room to spare. My favorite part however, is that the blanket that's attatched is extra wide so if they're side sleepers (like mine is) they can still wrap the blanket over their shoulder with plenty to still tuck around them. I highly recommend this mat for both comfort and design.
