It's a great, durable, high-quality mat for someone looking for low profile/ not thick yoga mat.For my purpose of advanced home Pilates on a hard floor this thickness/ cushioning is not enough. I'm returning it to get the much thicker (and sadly much more expensive) Merrithew Deluxe pilates mat which meets my needs much betterI finally invested in a pilates mat after using my thin yoga mat for years. I am glad I did! My rollovers and various other experiences on the mat are far more comfortable. If you need a mat, I highly recommend this Stotts mat. Great value. Nicely designed with herringbone style texture and logo emblem. Nice quality, rolls and stays flat.I really liked this mat but want to warn purchasers that if you leave it rolled up in your car when it is hot out, it will “warp”. I was taking Pilates in the park, left it in the back of my suv for the week between classes and it is, essentially, ruined. It ripples and not just a little bit, quite a lot. I never leave reviews, but wanted to warn buyers. It’s a good mat! Until exposed to heat. I have left plenty of mats in the car for significant periods of time during the height of summer without this outcome. I wish I were warned.NiceI deliberated for weeks on which mat to get. There are so many choices online. For my purposes it had to be within a certain price range, preferably eco friendly and most importantly it had to provide sufficient support for pilates activities but not too cushiony for yoga. When I unrolled the mat for the first time I was very pleased with the thickness. Not too thin, not too thick-Goldilocks. It has a slight new mat smell, but it is not overpowering and I'm sure that will go away in time. I'm not worried as well because it is eco friendly.I took the black. the Merrithew logo is on one end of the mat and "Stott Pilates" is written on the other end, but both are in grey/black and barely noticeable which I like. Looks quite good. classy.It fit my needs perfectly. I liked the size and thickness, very easy on my back.I like that it has a little padding to it, it's not so thin
