I being male clearly did not buy this for myself.I bought this mat for my girlfriend who is a beginner in Yoga. She was very happy with it. The pink is actually a bubblegum pink, so if that is the color your girlfriend is looking for then this is the mat.She says that she likes the waffle pattern. She says it's very comfortable. I have a different mat with a more abrasive surface. She doesn't like that feel. The J/fit mat is quite soft and comfortable, mine is stiffer. The softness makes it more difficult on long holds requiring balance, but is extremely nice for the floor positions.She says that its not sticky, therefore she can change positions without the mat lifting up with her hand. During high intensity workouts the mat doesn't become slippery with sweat, which is very safe. The last thing one needs when practicing is a sweaty hand to slip out during a complicated pose.This is a great mat for a beginner.I bought this because I began doing beginner yoga/ ab workouts. It works great on the hard floor and it pads my knees and back very well during various exercises. The reason for the 4 stars is that I do slip when doing downward dog and while I do sit ups. I don't have a lot of experience with yoga mats, so I don't know if that is a typical problem with yoga mats. Overall, I am pretty satisfied for the price.Also I am not incredibly tall, 6'1", and this yoga mat fits the entire length of my body.I had a gift card and purchased this yoga mat in burgundy. It's a thin mat and I usually spread it over my carpet and practice yoga so it feels very comforable. It's 'new' smell disappears with some use and it is easy to wipe down.This is a great basic mat, especially for beginners.I've bought two of these in the last 6 months. The first one I liked a lot and was exactly what I was looking for. The second one, bought a few month later seems to be a bit inferior quality. Kind of strange. If I would have gotten this recent one first, I probably would have looked for another brand for the second purchase. The most recent one is not terrible, and serves the purpose well, but it does not feel as durable as the first.Purchased this Mat for Yoga and because it looked many compared to all the other "fufu" looking pads. Has met my needs and standards as a quality product thus far. The price was my determining factor in this purchase, amazon had the best price.This item works pretty good. I wish it was a little more plush/cushier for when I do push ups and other excercises that require my knees. However, it works very well and it is fairly affordable. A good starter mat!I bought this to use as a cover for my workbench. I wanted a large gun mat for when I clean guns on my bench and a large gun mat was too expensive. Its working out well and cleans up easy. It provides a soft enough work surface and doesn't damage the finish of the guns when I set them on it.When i first removed it from the plastic, i was afraid it might smell. It was only noticeable for about a minute. Its been in my house now for a month unwrapped and I have never noticed any smells. Its cushy and does not stretch too much. I would recommend this mat. I would have prefered the extra 1/8" for a gym floor but right now I'm a beginner working with DVDs on carpeted floors at home, so no crisis for now. Other than the thickness issue and the standard unbreathable emissions from a new mat which hopefully will dissipate quickly, it works fine. The colour is exactly as in the picture and the non-stick surface seems to work well after a couple short workouts.It's long and cheap, thin and same colour as advertised. So as far as advertised it is accurate.Personally at 0.3 cm, I find it too thin. It can be sore on the knees and the top of the feet when doing long Yin poses. Like child's pose, and pigeon.I'm thinking I'm going to need a second one and double up, buying two means it's no longer that cheap, if spending $60 for two, I probably would have been better buying one better mat. But I also needed the long mat as I'm tall. So currently I'll just use the one, and have a second towel to pad my knees and/or top of the feet, when doing Yin. Maybe, I'll buy a second mat.Product is the perfect size and is super comfortable to use. Only thing I found was off was the image for the grey that looks more Tan/Brown, is actually dark grey.Mat is still really nice though and I almost prefer this to what I selected originally - maybe just a new update to the product imagery!It is just a piece of plastic sheet. Very slipper, very thin. Only good about this it is big enough. If you are planning to buy something go for something else pay a bit more money. Don't waste money for this.
