We needed a doormat that was ultra thin so that the front door would clear over it. This fit the bill. The other reviews weren't that high but we took a chance. It's the exact thickness or "thinness" that we needed and does a good job of covering the entrance floor, keeping all the debris at the door. We've vacuumed over it plenty of times with a Dyson and it's done just fine. Loved it so much bought two more!
