Putting accounts for over 40% of strokes in a typical 18 hole round of golf. It is one facet of the game that can have the most impact on your Score - and joy of the game. The Medicus clockwork is a precision practice system designed to train golfers to really know the hole, so they can make more putts and significantly improve scores - round after round. Holes will have a slope ranging from a fraction of a degree to approximately four degrees. The greater the slope, the more break there will be. As the ball approaches the hole, it is nearing the end of its roll, slowing in speed and most affected by gravity. Therefore, it is imperative to read the characteristics of each hole before you set up your putt. The key feature of the Clockwork is a circular bubble level indicating the degree of slope (an inclinometer). it's embedded into a base that rests in and around the rim of the hole - on any regulation Green. In the center of the Clockwork are "Crosshair" markings and circles identifying the degrees of slope based on position of the bubble. For example, if the bubble is in the center, there is a 0-degree slope - the putting surface is perfectly level. If the edge of the bubble comes to rest at the 2-degree circle, then there is a 2-degree slope. Outside of the center are markings to help you clearly identify the key positions of the hole. Simply follow the easy precision practice system on the back and you're ready to begin improving your putting.
